Building Process
Below is an outline of the process of building a Sumeer Home. Here we walk you through
the steps we take, from our initial meeting to handing you your very own set of
keys.
Step One: Meetings
Meeting with your community sales manager is the first step in choosing your new
home. A series of meetings will need to be conducted to determin the floor plan
of your choice and a sales price that fits your budget. After selecting your plan
a lot will then need to be decided on if one has not already been selected. If you
are buying a home that is already finished you will then move forward in your purchasing
decision. If you are going to build a new home then reviewing the standard selections
of the community and the development restrictions are next in order. An agreement
between you and the sales manager will then be made to move forward on your new
purchase.
Step Two:Contract Signing
Once you have made you decision and are ready to proceed a contract will then be
drawn up for you by your sales manager at the price agreed upon by both parties.
Once completed financing will then be arranged by the lender appointed in the contract.
This process can take up to 60 days in some cases and other as short as a week.
In the event you would like to change something in your selections a Change Order
will needed as long as it can be done in a timely manner and will not effect the
structure unless approved by Sumeer Homes.
Step Three:Start Building
The time of construction depends on the size of your home and the weather conditions
that occur while building it. Once construction begins you will be able to see it
transform into your new home. Thru this step you will be able to walk the home after
the frame stage and then the sheet rock stage with your builder to go over any changes
or expectations. This step will continue until the home is completed.
Step Four:Walk Thru and Closing
A walk thru time will be given to you by your sales manager when the home is ready.
At this time you and the builder will do a complete walk thru of the exterior and
interior of the home. A list of items will be made that aneed to be addressed before
the assigned closing date. After everything is completed you will then need to sign
off on the walk list closing form. Now it is time to close on and to move in your
new home.
